Be sure to plan for this retreat EARLY! Register as soon as you can to reserve your space and to take advantage of the most favorable airfares to Europe!  RIght now direct flights to Rome are around $700 US dollars.

Your space will be considered filled when we receive your registration form(s) and payment has cleared.

Payment Policy: A 50% deposit will reserve your space. Balance is due July 1, 2011. All payments are non-refundable. Because of this, we highly recommend that you protect your investment with travel insurance for your trip. To purchase travel insurance you can go to www.travelsecure.com or call (800) 873-9855.

If you need to cancel your reservation, and we can fill your spot, you will receive back your payment minus $100 for processing fees.

Travel to Umbria

Our retreat begins Saturday Sept 24th with dinner and ends on Saturday Oct 1st, after breakfast. Check out time is at noon. If you are coming from the States, purchase International tickets to either Rome or Perugia (via Milan or London). Perugia is the closest airport to Locanda. We recommend checking both options to see which gets you the best fare. We advise to use websites such as Travelocity to search flights and car rentals. Remember, because of the time difference, you must fly the day before (Friday Sept 23th in order to arrive in Italy on the 24th)

Flight Options:

To Perugia If you fly to Perugia via Milan or London, it is more direct, and the Perugia airport is only 25 minutes from Locanda Del Gallo. However, the final leg (Milan-Perugia) can cost more, though not necessarily, so it is best to check. The cost of a cab from the airport is approximately 45 Euros one-way.

To Rome If you choose to fly to Rome, there are three ways to get to Perugia/Locanda. You can rent a car (or go in on a rental with another retreat participant) and it is about a 3 hour drive to Locanda. You can also take a bus for about 25 EU (contact us for details). You can also take a train to Perugia. Perugia's main train station is Stazione Centrale. Check out rail schedules. The Italian State Railway Representative in the USA is 1-800-248-7245. The cost of a cab from the the bus stop/train station is approximately $50 one-way. Once the retreat is filled we recommend you connect with another participant and travel with them from the airport- you can also rent a car with a few others.
